MathWorks Black History Month Campaign
Client: MathWorks
Role: Lead Designer
Award: 2023 American Digital Design Award (GDUSA)
For MathWorks’ Black History Month celebration, I was responsible for developing the brand concept and creating both internal and social media assets that brought the campaign to life. The goal was to encourage employee engagement while also showcasing our commitment to inclusion to external audiences.
In 2023, aligning with the national theme of “Black Resistance,” I developed a concept centered around a powerful call to action—inviting individuals to rise to the occasion, just as so many trailblazers have done throughout history.
Concept
Design Rationale
Vibrant colors, grunge textures, bold typography, and purposeful, concise messaging come together to convey a raw, authentic portrayal of past struggles and resilience—while also pointing toward a powerful, hopeful future.
This visual style ties every asset together, creating a cohesive expression with both reach and emotional impact.
