Wells Fargo App Redesign
Client: Wells Fargo Role: UX and UI Designer
As a self-initiated project, I created a UX/UI redesign of the Wells Fargo app in response to recent scandals that had damaged the brand’s reputation. The redesign aimed to be part of a broader effort to reflect the company’s internal commitment to change and help rebuild trust with its customers through a more transparent, user-centric digital experience.
UX Design
Using insights gathered from customer reviews and key findings, I first identified core user needs and further refined the problem statement. To ground the redesign in a clear understanding of the existing ecosystem, I conducted a design inventory of Wells Fargo’s digital assets, evaluating the strengths and limitations of the current design system.
Based on this research, I synthesized key observations into actionable insights, developed user personas, and mapped a revised user flow focused on improving feature accessibility and overall ease of use.
UI Design and Branding
Building on that foundation, I developed a robust, scalable design system that introduced new features while streamlining functionality and modernizing the app’s visual aesthetic. I then built components and applied the new design to wireframes and final designs.
